Q: Can I bring alcohol to the festival?
A: Under the terms of our licensing agreement with Police and local council authorities we are unable to allow our audience to bring in their own alcohol. There are many bar facilities positioned throughout the campsites and event arena.
Q: Can I bring food and non-alcoholic drinks to the festival?
Water in sealed containers up to a max 2 litres per person will be permitted into the campsite (not the event site). No further food and drink (whether alcoholic or not) can be brought on to the Event site (including the Event Campsite). There are a large number of stalls that sell food and drink at the Event.
Q: What steps have been put in place to reduce queuing time to enter the event?
A: We have a range of improvements to alleviate time spent queuing, including an additional wider entrance and further queuing lanes. There will also be more ticket checkers, more wristband exchange staff and we have redesigned the wristband to speed things up.
Q: Will I be able to get cash out on the festival site?
A: Yes, there will be several ATM machines throughout the festival site, campsite and at the box offices but we do advise that you come prepared. Although every effort is made to keep the cash points stocked the sheer volume of people using them can sometimes prohibit this.
Q: Is there any disabled access?
A: The whole site is completely accessible to disabled customers. In addition, there will be a viewing platform at the Main Stage for wheelchair users. To receive tickets for this area, please call 01789 739988 at least 10 days prior to the event.
Q: Will there be more walkways at GlobalGathering this year?
A: There will be more paths and roadway on-site this year, and we're in discussion with the landowners to identify were extra walkways can be created without interfering with the everyday working of the site.
Q: Will there be anywhere to sit down at GlobalGathering?
A: There will be a chill-out area with cover on-site in the event area.
Q: Where can I get breakfast if I camp at Global?
A: There will be a breakfast bar in the campsite.
Q: Will there be more Toilets this year?
A: We always over-supply. Numbers are governed by existing guidelines and levels checked by licensing officers against the numbers of toilets that we agree to supply.
Q: What happens if I have problems with security at GlobalGathering?
A: We employ hundreds of security throughout the festival site. Those in key positions and undertaking certain functions are required to be licensed. Most have training of some kind and all licensed staff has a badge number, which must be displayed.
While we can't guarantee the experience or user-friendliness of every guard, our event security comes from experienced suppliers, for instance the campsite security company run campsites for a number of festivals). Should you have a problem with any specific security guard then please report their number to event staff.

Q: How far are the campsites from the arena?
A: Due to the large scale of GlobalGathering there are various colour-coded campsites positioned outside of the main event arena. At the nearest point your tent could be positioned 20 metres from the main arena although the later you arrive the more likely you are to be positioned further away. As always arriving to the site early is the best way to secure a great position. The separate campsite for VIP ticket holders is situated adjacent to the VIP arena, which is inside the main event arena.
Q: Is there any entertainment in the campsites?
A: The campsite will have a number of fairground rides and many further activities to keep you entertained whilst you wait for the music to start again.
Q: What facilities will there be on the campsite?
A: Camping will include: Running Water, Toilets, General Store, Camping Supply Shop, Food Outlets and Bars.
Q: How long am I able to stay at the campsite after the festival?
A: We encourage people to sleep before making any journeys so you will be able to stay in the campsite until Sunday afternoon at 15.00.
Q: Is the campsite safe?
A: There will be plenty of camping stewards and also undercover security teams on site as well as fire safety officers. Strict searches will also be in operation on arrival at the campsite. We recommend that you don't leave valuables in your tent but instead use the lockers available in the campsite and the arena.
